Scenic Sunday in Cockington Green Gardens Canberra

My Scenic Sunday #8

Scenic Sunday

A view within. What about giving other Scenic Sunday sites a visit and leaving a line of your appreciative comment?

Welcome to Cockington Green Gardens in Canberra, the Capital City of Australia!

11 Gold Creek Rd
Nicholls ACT 2913, Australia

A very impressive place to be and to see. Just click the link of the garden and it will take you to the most elaborate website where it says a lot about the place without me having to repeat their words.

I'd been to Canberra a few times, but the last visit was the ultimate when my friend Lucy took me there. I was still lucky my Canon minidigicam was still at work.

Yes, Denise, this miniature village was designed after a certain Devonshire County in England.

Enjoy!

Cheers!

Introducing: Royal Tableaux here in QUEEN VICTORIA BUILDING. See the EVOLUTION of this famous International Building per link.

This is a long over-due posting taken during the pre-wedding date with my daughter alone in the city spending time together; enjoying an Aussie Traditional Roast Beef Lunch with vegies and having a nice coffee afterward on the third floor.

Cheers!

Auburn and The Rocks

My Scenic Sunday #6

Scenic Sunday

A bit of a city view this time. What about giving other Scenic Sunday sites a visit and leaving a line of your appreciative comment?

Chiswick Road, Auburn, where the Scenic Sunday Wedding was held. That's my girl waving to the Newlyweds in the Hummer for their own exclusive Wedding Tour.

I think this place is part of The Rocks. I'm not really sure. This street faces the Harbour where the Opera House is visible from this point of view.

Both pictures are compliments from a church family friend.

Enjoy this Scenic Sunday!

Cheers!

Springwood in the Blue Mountains

My Scenic Sunday #5 so far

Scenic Sunday

Rounding the countryside this time, I thought if I can show you a countyhome somewhere in the Blue Mountains which is just 72 km from Sydney by train, bus and car. What about giving other Scenic Sunday sites a visit and leaving a line of your appreciative comment?

Sometime in 2005, my girls and I visited a family friend who lived in Springwood. We were taken to this beautiful country home with beautifully laid Terrace Garden both front and back. Spacious in the inside in all areas of the house including the four bedrooms. It is an open plan with huge space of lounge, rumpus, kitchen and dining combine; you can even dance with so much to roam for such a place.

Scenic Sunday #5

Scenic Sunday

To see some interesting scenery, please click the picture of Scenic Sunday above. It will take you to another world and if you're not a participant yet, perhaps, you may be interested to join in. Just follow the simple commandment posted there.

Sarah's Lookout, where Behold the Glory of the Sky was taken.

Below this National Reserve Park at Clifton Gardens is the cove, and on the elevated platform is Sarah's Look Out. This is the same place where I took these: picture1 and picture2 previously posted in another Meme.

Scenic Sunday #4 Way Out in the Country

Scenic Sunday

Rounding the countryside this time. So I thought if I can show a couple
of my old hometown and one of its close neighbouring county. What about giving other Scenic Sunday sites a visit and leaving a drop of your appreciative comment?

"I went to visit our old country town in Orange. I was rather feeling sentimental that tears just rolled down my face the moment the Express
Train was heading the town. I might be full of sentimentality in this travel,
but it also had a tad of humour because I boldly hopped in without booking. Soon I was inside the train, there was no seat allocated for me, so I spoke to
the officer that I illegally boarded without a ticket. Oh, they kept me alright. They found me a place to sit on and allowed me to pay the fare on board. It
was a very relaxing journey and I soaked my mind with past recollections
while enjoying the countryside scenery". ~January 21, 2008

The picture above was taken from the lookout of the town overlooking the mountain landscape of Mt Canobolas. This is a famous "Winter Wonderland" when it snows. Winter is from June to August.

Millthorpe, a small village outside Orange. It's a fairly quiet rural town borne by its own historical relics and artefacts of the convicts' days.

My most recent visit to this little county was tainted with sorrow when I attended our faithful brethren's funeral. It was a perfect day with masses of thick white clouds that hovered around the mourners sending chills into our spine with extra-ordinary cold wind coming from nowhere.

I did a bit of write-up about Orange I would like to share with you.

Happy Mother's Day
to all the mothers in the world!

Scenic Sunday #3 Secret of the Kingdom

Scenic Sunday

Two years ago, when I was working in Whale Beach, I would trespass this particular private look out to espy the nicest view of the cove I had have never imagined was there.

Next time I went there, I made sure that I took the little cam 'pal' of mine so I could snap some photos of this treasured kingdom.

I was pretty lucky no one tapped my back with a gun and yelled, "get out of here!"

Wait! There's more in Scenic Sunday around the globe!

Whale Beach

The origin of the name Whale Beach is unknown, although it is presumed to be associated either with the shape of the northern headland, or a beaching of a whale. Whale Beach faces east to the ocean, with Palm Beach to the north and Avalon to the south. From the 1950s, the area became a residential suburb.

Question: Anyone knows if Google is running a Promotional Lottery Competition using our computer generated EMAIL ADDRESS? Or is this just one of the Spammers Ploy? Anyone can answer, Please? In this world of global economic crash, who would give away money for nothing?
